January 14, 2011 Senator: United States should provide Georgia with arms
N. Kirtskhalia Tbilisi: U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman believes that the United States should provide Georgia with arms. "Recently, I and Senator McCain talked about the need for the United States to provide Georgia with defensive arms in order to enable it to defend itself against the Russian occupiers," Lieberman said at a meeting with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. According to the senator, "this is the least that the United States can do for Georgia."
